dyno day video

This isn't really a kill, but I thought the guys here would most appreciate some of these cars on the dyno.

Serious monsters... It seemed that the dyno read a bit high if the ford was stock? My buddy's made 522 to the ground on a local dyno. G

For the Ford GT I would imagine something is up. Perhaps a computer flash? He has a pile of other parts coming too. Some of the other cars don't give full detail to mods either. The Porsche GT2 for example is a Evolution Motorsports GT700 package.

My car SAE corrected HP came out within a couple HP of sea level corrected trap speed calculatioin, so should be about right on the cars.

He has that street Supra and another drag race Supra that has a little more power. The street Supra is tight, no joke on that one. I was watching him with some sporty street driving and it's pretty wicked. Rolling punch machine +++

Yes, that was Joe's. Joe has one of the fastest GT2s around . The car is truely a perfect ballance of class, handling and power. I think he lost some power on his pulls due to heat soaked intercoolers. The fans were pretty much useless for his set up.

That Supra was just crazy. It went thru whatever gear it was in in no time at all. Nice video.

Here's his other drag Supra. We were all at the drag strip for a club event. The track was very slick, so not his best run.

Did all the other car dyno in like 5th or 6th? Just seamed like a slow dyno for all the cars that made crazy power except for the supra. None of them seamed to move the dyno like I would expect for those numbers.

That particular twin turbo Viper was on regular street radials. Bad track prep, he ran 11.2 @ 148 mph.

Anonther guy that I know with another twin turbo Viper ACR worked his computer a bit to work with his street radials. He wanted to have a street tire tune. This is done by tuning the boost down were tires slip. He ran mid 10s @ 150 mph. Mind you that was on a very poorly preped track and slippry.

The Supra makes power for only a fraction of time vs. rpm range. Many of the other cars have a wide torque range, thus a more usable power and smoother dyno pull. You must look at the entire gear range for average HP if one wanted to apply performance to the equation.
