Cutlass supreme...sorry, he was asking for it..

First post in this section..

So anyway today I was chilling in the parking lot(at school) and im revving my engine and letting him hear the BOV. He tells me to pop the hood so i pop it and he takes a look inside. Anyway while this is transpiring a guy who owns a riced out teggy is coming out of the school doors . Mind you, this guy thought he was the king of all cars in the lot, and this was the first time i drove my TSi to school . So i tell my buddy to hurry up and close the hood. As the guy is walking past my car i give it enough gas to spool the turbo and let off to give em some BOV action. LMAO...the look on his face was absolutely priceless. Anyway to the kill.. lol.

I am sitting in my car for a minute because i am waiting for the high volume of crazy high school drivers empty out of the lot. Well once i see that it is safe, i push the gas in about 1/6 of the pedal, and listen to the symphony of the turbo spooling and the little 4 cylinder while I kick some dirt up under my tires. I instantly let off(im in the parking lot, can't have to much fun). While I am coasting out of the lot, I pass a cutlass supreme who gives me a nod signaling that my car is alright.(he has two girls in the car with him). I nod back to him and pull into the road. As i am pulling out of the highway i see Mr. Supreme come up behind me and slow down at the yield sign. Mind you, i didn't expect this guy to do anything, so i was cruising a little below the flow of traffic in the slow lane. I hit my left turn signal because i notice that i have to shift lanes or i am going to hit a turn off which is going to put me in the oposite direction. Anyway as i hit my turn signal i notice the cutlass put on his turn signal too(he was behind me) and speed up to my 1/4 panel. Son of a...(i think), I am close to the turn off and im thinking, "He is trying to run me off of the road." So anyway i give the Tsi about 3/4 of gas and the turbo begins to scream. I shift lanes and call nasa to give me a reading of how many lightyears the guy was beind me.

Nah its an auto, it keeps building boost, and with a torque converter, shift kit, and end clutch..ill be in business. But until then im learning to tune to car..etc. I love driving it i never had a turbo car before..so i love the sound of a spool and a BOV. Geez its intoxicating..i have been missing out all of this time. I can't wait to see the guy in school tommorow.

Thanks man, and i agree, anyone who talks down on DSMs has no idea what they are talking about. Heh today i was trying to see how loud my BOV actually was while the car was in motion, so i saw this freshman at my school walking down the street. I gave it a little gas then let off and the BOV sounded. Her head whipped around so fast you would think someone had slapped her in the face.

I love my DSM. I too have been toying around with ricers and cocky drivers in low-end cars more than I should lately, both with the Talon AND the FD...

I gotsta settle down and chill so I don't waste gas on non-opponents, but I seem to be developing a case of boost addiction.

What do you have done to your Talon?

Sweet. You should take some pics of the engine bay and post 'em up here. I'd like to see if I can tell what it has by looking at the pics.

Does it at least have a boost gauge (aftermarket) so you can see what boost you're running?

Enjoy it!

boost gauge is step one for mods that i will do..

i just got home from school, after i cooled the car off a bit i snapped a two pics of the engine bay

the filter was put created by moses..but im sure anything is better than whatever was in there stock.

Suprisingly the BOV is stock, turbo is stock too

strut tower brace (even though it doesn't really aid 2gs as much as 1gs)

you should swap out to a 1g BOV. Way better than the stock 2g BOV. And even louder!

^^^ I agree, at the very least throw a 1G BOV in there. Then with the intake do some exhaust mods and toss in an MBC, then experiment with turning the boost up to 15-16 PSI max and you will see a nice increase in performance. The T-25 won't do anything for you generally past that level, 'cept blow hot air.

Sounds like you've got a nice list of ideas brewing already though! Your engine compartment looks so... untouched. Enjoy the modding!
