Talking I got marauded.

Last night I went to Sonic to get a Route 44 Grape Slush, git 'r done, and I noticed this pretty nice looking silver Hyundai Tiburon GTV6. It had a carbon fiber front lip, nice looking aftermarket taillights, black 7 spoke wheels with a polished lip, and it appeared to be on some aftermarket suspension, judging from the stance. Upon further inspection, I noticed an exhaust and a small AEM sticker on the window. Well the guy sees me checking out my car and comes up to me and asks if I'm turbo. I tell him "No, unfortunately" and he asks if I want to run 'em. I say "Sure, just let me get my slush." Well, my order comes up and I pay the nice girl $1.72 and start up my car. I tell him to follow me to my spot. So he does. I pull out and drive to the spot. Once we get there I signal him to get beside me. He gets to my right and we're both doing 45mph. I get ready to drop into 2nd, thinking, "This'll be interesting", and as I get into 2nd and lay on it, I hear the sweetest sounding V6 ever as he immediately jumps past me. He hits 3rd and opens up a gap of about 1-1 1/2 cars on me before I can even top 2nd! Wow! So we turn around and we line up at about 25mph. I'm in 1st gear, as is he, and he signals. I go and pull a half car by the top of 1st. I hit 2nd and for a second I stay ahead. But I hear him coming hard. He hits 3rd and pulls ahead of me. Then he hits 4th at about the time I hit 3rd. I let off at 85 beacause we're coming back into town and he's a good car or two ahead. Wow. I got beat by a Hyundai! I'm not sure what he has done to it, but damn is it quick, well, compared to my N/A FC. I'll ask him next time I see him. He's a pretty cool guy and knows his stuff. He supposedly has a pretty bad turbo Del Sol. Well, later.

To answer all three of you, BEATS THE HELL OUTTA ME! I'm just as confused as everyone else. I can eat up a stock Tib GTV6 all day, but this one was different.

Beleive it or not, if the Tiburon was RWD I'de have one by now.

With a supercharger they become beasts.

^Yeah I have, and I've heard a few of the MX-6 V6's with exhausts, but this sounded way better.

You know, I kinda figured it'd be pretty cool if you could get ahold of one of the AWD rally transmissions from either the Elantra or Tiburon rally car. That would prove to be interesting.

I made a "Po' Man's Cupholder" by using myself, my seat bolster, and my lap belt to hold the cup. Works quite nicely, BTW. Oh, and from what I've heard, this one might be S/C'd, which makes me feel better that I stayed that close at least. If it is S/C'd, it sure is a quiet one, because I couldn't hear one. Then again, I have straight through mufflers and a quite large exhaust leak.

Nope, hardly any of them are loud.

Tib's are slow, but do sound awesome, add a power adder in there and it becomes a good car all of a sudden.
