Thumbs up Corvettes look nicest in your rear view mirror!

Alright rotorheads, here is my first real kill with my newly converted Turbo vert. Here's how it went down.
I was coming home from Pepboys yesterday with my top down after buying a lightbulb to replace my blown taillight when I spotted a 92'-94' Corvette a few cars up at a light that marks the begining of a 1/2 mile overpass that stretches over an industrial area and a freeway(110). I noticed the Vette had some really wide tires on it (around 295's) and I wanted to get a closer look. When the light turned green the Vette took off quick leaving everyone else on the three lane street behind(don't know why?). I was trying to follow behind but I had to wait a few seconds for an opening to get in front of the cars ahead of me. I was able to get around everyone else in a few seconds and was able to catch up with the Vette by about the halfway point of the overpass. I tried to pull up next to the Vette to check it out, but as I attempted come up on the side of him he gave it some gas and pulled ahead. Since we were both going about 65 and approaching the end of the overpass I didn't want to try anything, but fortunately he was turning the same direction as me. I got in the left turn lane behind him and we both turned left on to a street with a light a few hundred feet up. There was already a car waiting at the light so I couldn't line up next to him, but while I was waiting behind him at the light he flashed his hazards at me and then revved on me( attempting to scare me with the sound of his V8). When the light turned green I was ready, the Vette accelerated quickly, got over to his right and then waited for me to make my move. I came up quick and then floored it. He got on the gas as soon as he heard my engine come alive, but it wasn't enough. At the top of my first we were dead even. When I shifted to second, I pulled away from him quick(?), which was to mine and his astonishment(guessing by the look on his face). I figured he would start to gain on me, but I only continued to pull on him. By the middle of third gear I had over 3 car lengths on him( No joke!!). I let off the gas(almost 80mph by now) and he went zooming by me (possibly attempting to make himself feel better after losing to a rice rocket). I ended up pulling up next to him at the next ligtht(I was making a right turn and he was going straight). As I turned I glanced over to my left and the dude gave me a thumbs up that made my day. Props from a Corvette was a nice ego boost, even if it was an older one.
I went home to looked up the specs on that Vette. It came with an LT1 350 small block rated at 300hp, it's ET is 14.1 sec. I highly doubt my car is much faster than 14.1 if even that fast, but I sure did whoop him . My mods are listed in my sig. Hows that for a first Kill?

^And what, lose terribly? Nice kill, but before you go picking on Z06's, you might want to get more goodies.

I don't think I'll be messing with any Z06's or 05' Vettes any time soon, but I'd like to see how I'd fare againt a C5 with a know nothing driver.

My brother has set my friend and I up to race against a few a his friends in a "so-called" racing crew. They have a 240sx with an SR-20 motor, a Civic Ex Turbo, and an Acura LS Turbo. I don't think any of them stand a chance against my turbo vert and my pals modded Mitsu. GSX, I'll let you guys know what happens when it goes down(most likely within a week or two)

Its great to kill a vette. But dont let that one vette boost ur ego too high. When i was building my car, i thought..hmmm...id liek to eat vettes. It felt real good when i ate one, because it was a brand new white one. Guy was so pissed off he jsut flew by me after i had let go lol.

I'm not surprised you killed him. A C4 isn't all that fast (unless it's a ZR-1) and those mods should have you deep in the 13's. My friend's '88 TII ran a 13.3 with very similar mods to what you have.
