Aww, how cute. For some one who claims to not care what others are posting, I must have really hit a soft spot in your vag for you to come and "try" to defend your self. As for you friend, he's humoring you about your second rate purchase. Its okay we all make poor decisions in our lives and most of us can except that and move on, but others like your self just keep purchasing round trip tickets on the Fail Boat.

How is he purschasing round trip tickets aboard the failboat? For one, he can at least afford an Audi and an FC, and keep both running. The flagship models are not always the best for EVERYONE.

Cars are not always for going the fastest for the least amount of dollars. Rotaries are cool, i love them. Mazda makes cars for drivers, and purists. But Mazda is not the only one. So does Nissan, Ferrari, Lotus, Porsche and quite a few other manufacturers who do well in motorsports and have a rich history of making drivers' cars.

Just because a car is powered by evil triangles does not make the l33t HaXXorZ. I sure as hell would take a new Audi A4 as a daily drivable, overall fun car over what was my 1991 Rx-7. Not saying the FC is a bad car, or inferior car. If i had to buy a new car for 30,000 USD, would i consider other options too? Sure.

Poor decisions in life huh? You mean like your bowl cut and FUBU board shorts?

Or wait, is that what you wear when you are riding the "Fail Boat"?

Thanks for providing me with the opportunity to completely own your noob ***. Once you actually get a clue in life, come back and try again.

He is having trouble grasping the fact that I have owned a rotary powered car about twice as long as he has. When I was young and retarded I also thought that rotaries were the greatest thing on the planet. Then I actually figured out how stupid that frame of mind was after I drove and could afford other cars, as I'm sure you also figured out.

Although, you do own something I've never driven but would love to.

I'm reading this thread, and I just keep laughing. Like seriously guys. . . on the level. . . Do you all honestly thing that our rotaries are the end all?

I mean, Jesus Christ. . . . . seriously. I've owned an FD and an FC. Are we talking about the same cars? I didn't get much thrill out of the FC. Like, totally honest. . . it looked pretty cool. Other than that, that's about where the cool factor left off. I've driven TII's and highly modded TII's, all the way up to an LT1 powered FC.

FD's. . . they look slick as all hell. However, since when is an upgraded radiator and opening up the exhaust a "reliability" upgrade? Especially for a daily driver. . . bc when you open up the exhaust you have to go standalone ECU with a wastegate to control spiking. Aftermarket ECU in a daily driver. . . . well if you are already going to hack up some stuff, why not throw in a single turbo. . . No power below 3000 RPM. . . hmm. . . better gut it to make it quicker . . . blah blah blah. I've owned 2 FD's, I know how it goes.

I'm also the first to admit, the FD isn't all that's out there in the world of sports cars. . . If building a track car, it's a great base. However. . . 2nd.Gen.Rocket never stated his car was a track beast. He never stated his A4 was the end all of performance. . .

So seriously. . . what the **** is everyone bitching about?!?!

I seriously don't understand it. Aside from me laughing at the thread. . . really. . . what point are we trying to prove? That the rotary held records back in the day? Yay, we won the 24 hours of Daytona. Sweet. in a production chassis. However, the 1 win at the 24 hours of Daytona doesn't equate to the endless years of over-all wins Audi enjoyed at the 24 hours of Le Mans. . . . We only got one win at that.

If the FD was offered here stateside in 2002 like it was across the dip, then that would be a different story. But the Interior plastic of a chevy in an import is far from luxurious, by any stretch, for a daily driver.

The rotary is great. . .but for daily driving. . . when will people open their eyes. . . I see it in the kills section, and in the lounge. . . It's almost as bad as Christianity with the blind faith. . .

Threads like these make me laugh and happy, because i know im not the only one to try to sink some reality into some of the members here.

I have owned a t2 in the past and owned/still own an FD up to this day. The FD is a good car, WHEN ITS RUNNING. Other than that, its a headache and a financial burden on anyones pocket. I dont care if you make 30k or 100k. The FD is far too much expensive to own than any of their leading competitors of its time. PERIOD.

But im assuming like most FD owners of today, like myself, they still keep the car because they love it. I love my car but i dont think its the fastest nor greatest thing on earth. Hell i praise (yup, here we go again) MKIV supras MORE because i think its a well put together car. They dont break, the engine is simply astonishing and they look like they will kick some ******* *** on the road. You would think we can be different and try to acknowledge some other cars, especially when some praise is required but nope, we put them down like we own better cars. LOL We're like the laughing stock of any japanese sports cars. Go up to anyone who's a car enthusiast and mention rx7. They'll be like, "yeah cool but they break alot". "yeah i like them but they are unreliable". I bet 97% of your replies would start with something like that.

People need to realize that just because these other cars are your everyday cars, doesnt mean they are stupid to own. Thats why they are called daily drivers. Because you want to daily drive it. Who wouldnt want a comfortable, reliable, fun daily driver?

That being said, i would love to own an audi again but im loving the 135I, G37 coupe etc and i dont know what to get for my daily driver. Thats my reason for not owning one of those amazing cars just yet.

The 1999+ Rx-7s are much better daily driver type cars, and also feel 200000x more solid than our 93-95 FDs. The plastics, the interior, the way the doors shut, the hatch, everything.

But i think every car has some kind of false rumor, story behind it. Many people think Skyline GT-Rs are instant throw on an intake, and exhaust and get 600 horsepower bulletproof kind of cars. Which they are not, many modern cars are faster in stock trim, and it takes money to pull the full potential from them. They do have several weakpoints too which can cause an engine blow that need to be addressed.

The same goes for the Supra as well (it has it's weaknesses). The Rotary suffers, i think, an unfair rap for being "unreliable". I think a lot of classic japanese (tempermental) cars will be as reliable as the quality of parts, and labor used on them. Cheap out on it, it will cheap out on you. They can be unreliable, but my FC was dead reliable. Granted it was NA until i tried to do the turbo swap.

My FC was/is reliable in the sense that it starts when I turn the key. The electronics and pretty much everything else are a different story. It is probably the only car I've ever owned that has constant cooling issues.

I must really give you a hard on for you to sit and look at my pics from 2002. When you can come up with anything to combat my statements in a non bitch *** way, then I'd love to hear it. But from looking at the caliber of your posts I doubt that I should be holding my breath for anything meaningfull on your part.

As for others in this post, I fully understand that his little audi is his DD, hell I have no right to speak about others cars when I DD a Miata In comparison I find the car to be fun to drive and somewhat comfortable to ride in but I take it for what it is. Its a lame *** DD, just the same as the op's car. The reason I wanted to come into this thread was because there was no need to praise a second rate audi and dismiss the RX-7 just because of his bad experiences with them. I'm not bias to any RX-7 or Mazda for that matter, my dream car is a 911 drop top.
