C5 vs TII

A co-worker of mine just got an auto 02 vette and was talking about how slow my car was. I didnt say much because I honestly wasn't sure how fast he would be.
He has LTs, a ls6 manifold and some other minor stuff.

So we leave work a couple of weeks ago and go to a rural area to race.
From 0-120 I took him by about 2 cars. I thought he was pulling back a little, but I had to shut down.

Next day he came into work bitching about how his tires were bald.

So last night We were heading out together again and he wanted a re-match.

This time I had a passanger and we were going from a 40mhp roll.
I think I was in third (honestly not sure), but I was around 4K rpms and we took off.

He initially jumped a car while my turbo was building up boost.
I shifted around 7500 rpms into fourth. By 100 I was making up the distance, and would have passed him but we shut down.

Im very happy I just want an FMIC so badly lol.

Anyway I have a custom BNR stage II,Aluminum radiator, streetport @ rebuild...still very new, rtek1.7 , 780 injectors, RB turboback, greddy profec, and a few other things.

brake boost next time, he won't get that launch on you from a roll while your turbo builds boost.

Brake and gas at the same time to put more load on your engine and turbo so it stays spooled.

How do you brake and keep the clutch ingaged at the same time..unless you mean emergency brake?

while in gear you press on the brake and give it enough gas to maintain your speed....yes that is foot brake and gas pedal at the same time.

brake boosting is cheating. Next time try him at around 60mph because you were right in his torque range and he flexed it on you. And if you were at 30 you should have been in second. Got to remember gearing because the FC doesn't have any torque at all and can't hang with a car that does.
