i would like to motion for the term "BPU" to be removed from forum useage on the grounds that all other forums that use it, turn into crapshoots.

well, a 400whp FD @ 2700lbs would be at a 1/6.75 ratio.

an 03/04 cobra at 3665 lbs would need 542.96296296296296296296296296296 whp to match that ratio. ouch!

an mk4 supra at 3300lbs (im guessing) would need 488.88888888888888888888888888889 whp to match that ratio. and suprise suprise, that is damn high for a stock twin supra. too bad that is "low" for a full single setup on a supra.

just for fun, a 2,700lb FD with 500whp would be a 1/5.4 ratio. a single'd supra would "only" need 611.11111111111111111111111111111 hp to keep up, and the stang would need 678.7037037037037037037037037037 hp.

2400/500 = 4.8/1

3300/4.8 = 687.5

3665/4.8 = 763.54166666666666666666666666667

what about the actual dyno curve? i mean my car holds its full power for almost the whole power band while the cobra charts i have seen make full power for 500 rpms.

i think i got us off topic.

that's a good issue, and your friends cobra seems damn peaky considering the curves i have seen. you can go over to www.corral.com to see loads of modded cobra sheets. but if, for instance, he was running an auto and only actually needed a 500rpm window for accelerating, the rest of his dyno curve wouldn't mean anything.

i don't really think it's off topic.

A FD is not BPU or BPU+++
ONLY Supra's are BPU, BPU is a registered trademark of SupraStore.com.

there is a supra that will race you when you come over thats pushing like 460 or so hp. but it will have to wait til i come back to fayetteville in order to have a place to stay seeing as im going back home for about a month to get my car fixed then coming back. until then get your mods together to get more hp out of your setup.

btw good kill on she-man

Hey David! This is scott (white 240 silvia). I heard about those races. I knew you were going to win. That girls dsm doesnt seem to run right. I mean, my friend on the stock T25 turbo and stock fuel beat her down with his SR20. Of course he ended up blowing his engine in the process but it was surprising. As for the BPU Supra, his name is Atif i think. His car is nice, pretty quick too. Once i get back from Gotham Racing running 18psi im going to run him. Anyways nice runs and you really need to race Sinsac. He is pushing mid to upper 500rwhp in his car. I personally rode in it and i think i would be an even match. Its the hardtop Anthracite Supra that goes out there on Saturday nights. You need to ask him to race. Congrats and keep up the good work!

Supras are usually slow (I have never seen a fast one) with twins. With a single turbo that all changes. I have seen some really fast ones with T-78s in them.

3400lbs is a mighty light Supra btw. Their published dry weight is 3445 and with 18 gallons of fuel, fluids and normal driver (180 lbs) that is around 3800lbs. My RX-7 with a full tank of gas (tourning edition, single turbo, roll cage, etc.) and me in it is 3020lbs on the scale at Silver Dollar. I would love to know how people are getting RX-7s down to 2700lbs with full fuel and driver.

I Beat the copper cobra the red supra the girl that drives the red dsm the white 91 TII that has alooot of mods all at once in a highway takeover. I lined up 2nd row the red supra and dsm 1st row they jumped on it by 3rd. I had passed the dsm and was even with the supra. 4th on I saw nothing but open hwy raced 1more time. Just the red TT supra and a older white\grey primer turbo supra this time we are all starting even and its not even a race. From 3rd on I could not even hear there exhaust tone shut her down at 168. I also had the owner of the white TII onboard. The girl with the dsm was ridding with the red supra as she blew out 3rd gear in the 1st race. The dark blue supra is a total monster can you say 9 sec 1/4 he can with room to spare at 700hp & N2O his friend owns the bronze supra its not as fast but is around 550hp and recently added N2O as well .These are very fast cars.Looking forward to the drags on fri before the BBQ.Cant wait to see who really has the fastest 7 around

Wink

The car color is montago blue. Many hours of tuning went into my fuel/timing maps to safely run n2o. however the zex unit monitors the fuel pressure regulator and will help keep psi from dropping off.50-75 shot between 8-10psi n2o @4000rpm shut off @7000rpm or less I have the turbos set to vent @10psi for the n2o until 7800 then boost jumps to 15 and served to a intake system that now is ice cold weeeeeee .No n2o
was used during these races did not need it .Also remember I am a rotary rebuilder 10yrs so down time on a motor rebuild is no prob should I ever have a problem .THANKS ROB
