99 turbo civic si vs. 87 TII

My mods: CAI, Turbo xs rfl bov, FCD, Straight pipe running 7 psi
Civic mods: Rebuilt bottum end B16 A3, low compression pistons, 5 psi, ported and polished head, some type of small turbo, NO TUNE, KnN air filter, vtec

So one of my friends just bought this civic yesterday and i figured, turbo civic = fast. A couple of my other friends who also drive rx7s rode with him and they said it doesn't pull very hard but it might put up a good fight against my 7. So i'm driving with "87-Rexxer-GXL" and we see him. We quickly flip around and then stalk him until he pulls over. We get to chattin and then i ask him if he wants to run and he says "maybe", so obviously he is already a little worried. But a two of his friends jump in his car so he can show off his new ride and then Matt (87-Rexxer-GXL) jumps in my ride so we know its on. So after doing a little driving and showing off of our BOVs the road clears up and i hear him down shift, so i know its goin down soon. I downshift and i no longer can hear his car. Then his front end jumps up and fractions of a second later, so does mine. We're in second gear at around 30 and after i pull to about 7.5k and let off he was around 2-3 car lengths behind. So that was that, i figured since i'm getting less then 10mpg i won't run him again because it wasn't close at all. I think when he gets it tuned it will be a lot closer hopefully.

I'de like to see people post proof of their kills (video). Lots of interesting claims in the kills section.

lol How can you list VTEC as a mod? It's just a stock program or factory option.

easily believable, there is a civic hatch in town with similar mods untuned and his car is hardly what i would call quick. if done right i'm sure it could be fairly quick but it's still a FWD honduh.

The plan was to make a video later, which would have been really pointless, but i got pulled over by a cop because my car was too loud! So i figured i was done for the night

not undebelieveable since hes untuned. let him get the tune and some dyno time then make another stab at it.

you just might be suprised.

i agree, it should be tuned then had again. i've been in gs-r's and Si's that were turbo and nobody can say it doesn't have pull. anything that has variable valve timing or that sort of thing pulls on its own then add a turbo......it's gonna pull. i'm honestly not a huge honda fan, i just think they have motors pretty dialed in(other than torque)..especially top end.
