93fd vs. 68 CAMERO
Yeah, So I Know What Everyone Is Thinking!! No Way I Won!! Here It Is::
We Were On The Costal Highway 90 In Mississippi. For Anyone Who Knows The Area Its A 4 Lane Divided By A 15 Ft Median Anyway This Guy Pulls Up Next To Me Give's Me The Nod And Yells Is It Fast?(oh I Forgot The Speed Limit Is 45mph) I Say Yes But What Do You Got Under The Hood? He Replies Not Much! A Couple Of Hundred Pounds More Than What Your Car Weighs!!! So Of Course We Slow To About 10mph, We Couldn't Stop Because Of Traffic, Anyway We Take Off And He Get's A Good Half Car On Me From The Jump. We Hit About 60 Or 65 And We Are Already Running Up On More Cars In Front Of Us, So He Start's To Slow And I'm Still Full Throttle Because As We All Know We Can Stop On A Dime!! So As We Come Up About 4 Car Lengths Behind The Cars I See The Beach Exit, Which Is A Parking Area About 100yds Long And Then Comes Right Back On The Highway Its Not Even Really A Exit Just Think Of It As A Third Lane. Ok...when I See It I Barely Have Enough Room To Cut In Front Of Him And Take The Exit And By This Time I'm Doing 75 And Spooling Like Crazy! I Hold It At About 75 And Come Out In Front Of The Cars Blocking Our Path. I Am Scared Shitless At This Point But Calming Down Because I Made It And I Pulled Over At The Next Beach Exit Hopeing To See If The Guy Would Stop. Luckily He Stopped Got Out Of His Car, Walked Over To Me And Said "crazy *** Kids, That Doesn't Count". My Question Is Did I Win???? I Think So!

There have been a total of 7 1st gens in my close family, 2 68, and the rest 67's, including and outlaw 10.5 car that has been 8.24 @ 164 MPH with a small block.
