88 fc n/a vs 89 240sx vs saturn ion

well here is the story i was coming home from work at about 3 in the morning and i noticed a 240 was cruising down the interstate and he was next to a saturn ion. so i decided to get behind the ion and then i heard a roar from the 240 and noticed no exhaust so i knew instantly who was going to get killed in this race. well then the ion noticed i was riding his *** and reving my engine(the ricer thing) and the 240 noticed too. so we take off goin 80 and the 240 is struggling and by the time we get to 115mph the 240 drops out (hit speed limiter) so its me and the ion im drafting him up to about 120-125 and the i decided to go for it so i swing out next to him and fly by the ion and i looked at him and waved as he is gettin passed. I know he wasn't slowing down beacause you can tell when someone is slowing down in your mirror. I knew he was still on the gas so i decided to give my car a little more and when i looked down at my Speedometer i was goin 137 mph and the ion slowly gettin smaller and smaller and in the end it was all worth it. the dumb part was i was out on the interstate so if i blew a tire i would have beed screwed.

Cool kills.

A local guy claimed his 240sx was going 150mph on a regular basis, its silly after you find out they have a rev limiter, proving he was full of ****.

Great sig btw.

hey, i'm a 240 owner (but dedicated to the 7 first) my 89 240sx sohc moves pretty fast w/ everything thats done to it. my 90 GXL was clearly faster but the 240 wins for torque. i raced a dohc 240in the 7 and won but it did alright. depending on the mods you have done the 240 might have given ur s4 a run for its money if it wasnt for the speed limiter, which can easily be removed if you put in the ecu form an auto trans 240. voila! no more limiter. hte speedo only goes up to 115 mph though so i have no idea how fast i am going when my neddle is straight down, but i borrowed a gps that shows speed and can hit about 146 mph no prob.

And shut the **** up.

Clearly your speedo is off. Don't call BS when you're a ****** who doesn't know any better nor know how to read my statement.

For Christ sakes, go kill yourself.

Hey Marc nice kill. A little too fast (mph's-I know, I'm old) for my tastes, but good kill none the less. Why no posts about some of the V8s you have beaten or tied? I saw you just barely (were talking maybe a fender) lose to a newer V8 F-body that night a couple of weeks ago. You have a really strong 7 given the mods to date. How about a flywheel next?
Keep up the good work!
Jeremiah
