86 RX7 Vs. RX8

My one friend has an rx8 with just about every bolt on including NOS(pulleys, intake, exhaust, clutch, flywheel). One night on the highway he decides he wants to run me, it was around 1:00am and there was no traffic insight. So we slow down to about 40mph, im rolling second and i think he was also rolling second. So we go on three beeps....he starts to pull away slightly but as soon as i grab third i start to pull up slightly......grab fourth and im still running right beside him.......we are now doing about 120mph and my front is about at his drivers door.....and then i hit 5th BRICK WALL! i have no steam left in 5th gear and he pulls away. I was pretty happy considering my car was a 13B n/a that i converted to turbo. I think if my 5th gear ratio was changed a lil bit i might be able to keep up with him.

Are you running 5psi because of the n/a motor?

I'd assume it can take a nice bit-o-boost. I mean, the N/A S5 rotors are only 9.5:1, whereas the TII rotors are 9:1. I don't think I'd take a loss to a bolt-on RX-8 if I were running a 60-1!!! Just crank up the boost to about, oh I don't know, 10-15psi and wax his ****.
