this is the street/kills section not the track section... so unless your going to run me on the street theres no point even posting in this section
& honestly i never met you b4 for you to say we've met b4

Also don't forget that I and my FD will be waiting for you next week at the track to see what you got, you call me out to a dyno and when I accepted you came out with excuses.
Then again you call me to a race and I said let's do it and now come with the excuse that you need to upgraded and retune, why lets do it, next week at Palm Beach Raceway let me know so I can get my drag tires on.
Also Flaco your more than welcome to come and give him a shot, you see the difference between you and me is that I don't talk crap, I'm ready win or lose I'm READY.

I linked the thread because you two have obvious issues and are posting on a completely unrelated thread. Which leaves the rest of us confused on wtf is going on. Therefore the thread is linked so everyone who reads this knows what is going on.I don't have any issues with you but its interesting to witness a race between folks that have animosity towards each other. So make sure you video tape it :-)
no offense but thats a rather goofy statement... Why would I type a synopsis on a 7 page thread when I can just link it?

Don't worry Montego race will be recorded and either way will be posted, that's off course if he even show up since he has come up with all sort off excuses. I will post the video win or lose since his car has way more power than mine.
Did your simple math and physics thought process think that maybe the dyno is set for a altitude correction factor? Maybe this motor does make that at sea level but is not making that at his altitude in the video?
My simple math has nothing to do with the dyno it has to do with the ZR1 accelerating away from an RX-7 with supposedly 550 hp.
Do you know the specs of the dyno that the factory used on the zr1? Most likely not.
What im getting at and not trying to sound out of line or rude but maybe just maybe there are more factors that go into alll these dyno arguments and comparison we all freak out over.
My money is on the rx7 is not making 550hp in the video but to compare the two cars power output would take more time and resources than im willing to invest.
IM not sticking up for anyone and im not arguing that the rx7 is making 550hp which is obviously not. Im just bringing up the thought that maybe it does make that in a different location.
How do you figure? I have personally seen as well as my own car put down 500+ hp on dyno but didnt perform like a 500hp rx7. Being that I was 2800ft above sea level on the dyno the dyno was compensating and adding what the car would be at sea level. So yea 500hp at sea level and maybe 400-440hp at 2800ft... not really sure to be exact.

#2: When you put your car on a dyno, it should always correct for DA (ie SAE Corrected RWHP).
#3: The quasi dyno "standard" is a Dynojet (they have an 88% market penetration in N. America). Mustang dynos usually put out ~ 12% less RWHP but others are less consistent so unless you put your car on a Dynojet (or Mustang dyno) - your RWHP may not be so "recognized" as a good baseline.
#4: The video race would appear to be in Florida. Pretty unlikely the guy gets a dyno in the Rockies, then moves to pancake Florida (and maintains the same config/tune). Possible? Yes. Likely? No. And per above, his dyno #'s should already account for an altitude correction.
#5: If the FD was dynoed at higher elevation, then he went to a lower elevation - his car would have put down even more RWHP (not less)....making it the 550 RWHP claim that much more absurd.
#6: The math is indeed quite simple - can you not cross multiply? No FD that has a superior RWHP# & weighs ~ 700lbs less (almost 25%...which is huge), is going to get walked by a stock ZR1. With 550 RWHP, he would have left the ZR1 in the rear view mirror.....quickly.
#1: You mention Hp & RWHP like they are the same thing. They are not. We are remaining consistent with a 550 RWHP FD & there is no way in hell that car is putting out anywhere near 550 RWHP.

Yes and in the moon I can bench 1800lbs, does that mean I claim a world record here on earth?
OK, we have all established the FD does not put down 550 rwhp. Just wanted to say, Montego, your optimal conditions post had me on the floor ;o)
RX7 SE, I believe it. With 350HP, you have the same Hp/Weight ratio as a stock C5 ZO6. Your FC is pretty friggin' quick. Cool.
