Smile 6766 FD vs 71mm is300

A vid popped up of my car racing a built IS300 gte swap 71mm turbo out in Mexico. The editor of the vid told me he had to embellish my hp number since I beat the IS so bad, I was actually around 450whp in the vid. First run I didn't brake boost because of my slipping clutch, second run I tried to brake boost and gave the IS the hit (fried my clutch even more that second run) IS300 was brake boosting both times. Both runs were from 45 to 150. Either way fun times, I ran more cars out there so I'm sure vids will start popping up. The camera car was a TT camaro SS making 700+whp

Yep, I wanted to represent for the rotary, but I couldn't use my high boost due to the clutch wanting to commit suicide any time I wanted put the power down (didn't have enough time before the event to get replacement parts). I still broke some hearts though lol a few evos making 500+ and a supercharged gen 3 viper making 630 or something like that. 1320 crew rode with me one night when the sound performance supra raced a liter bike and my friends TT camaro.

Nice kills list too!! Keep the videos coming, I like to see races of those magnitudes, especially when an RX7 is winning.

^^ I seriously doubt that FD is 550RWHP... If I'd had to guess I'd say more like 400 RWHP

or that ZR1 is not stock. Look for yourself STOCK ZR1 dyno 529 RWHP.

That FD sounds damn near stock. I'd guess anywhere from 350-400 rwhp at the rate it's accelerating. 550 rwhp FD should pull a ZR1 or at least be very close.

Short shifted? I believe more information is warranted before that claim can be made. Such as what RPM did he start in? Even still that ZR1 pulled on that FD too damn hard for it 550 RWHP. Seriously that FD and no point, not even for a second pulled on that ZR1. Think about it that for a second... The FD shown here supposedly puts down more power to the ground and is significatly lighter and yet it gets smoked like that? riiiight.

As you said, there is no way in hell a 550 rwhp FD is going to get pulled by a stock ZR1. That FD had less power than mine. A 2700 lbs FD needs 420 rwhp to hang with a stock ZR1 (power to weight)....even then, the FD will have an advantage due to lower drag (the faster they go - the more the ZR1 would fight physics). 550 rwhp....not even close.

Yep.

No way is a 550 rwhp RX-7 going to get pulled like that. LOL!

I particularly like the fact its got stock 16" rear rims which can accommodate, maybe, a 245 series tire. If you had 550 rwhp, you would not be driving around on POS stock 16" rims riding on bike tires.

If they are, it's still silly because that FD doesn't make enough power to need 'em - especially using them off the track (ie on the road).....it's like sticking a diving board for a rear spoiler on your car while driving around town - a little silly IMO but hey, maybe its just me.

^^Do you think you will win? In all honesty, I think most of the vids that you post are of you losing. Not sure if your car wasn't setup correctly of you take on bigger dogs that you can handle or what... If you do race and lose I'd be extremely interested in seeing your dyno graph

And yes to the OP:

dabigesii,

nice car man! do you have any pics of her?

Got to disagree, it's simple math and physics.

^ +1. Yep, some people without question will believe anything they see on the internet. No matter how much it doesn't make sense.
