2005 SLK 55 AMG v. 93 FD
Shift points are totally car-specific once a car is modified. For optimum shift points, you need to dyno your car in each gear. I highly suggest you read this post: https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...63&postcount=7

What you need to do is borrow my FD! We will run 32psi and c116, and this way she can bring any exotic she feels most comfortable in using.
Now all I will ask in return is: the girls name, her email and an introduction!!
Do we have a deal?

I found a video of the SLK 55 AMG Mercedes on Streetfire.net doing a 0 - 100 - 0. You can watch when the car starts accelerating a bit under 2 seconds in the video. The 0 - 100 looks like it's a bit over 12 seconds. The Mercedes computer traction control sticks the car good off the line and pulls smooth on up to 100. I also have a video of my old FD for 0 - 140. At the time I had a down pipe, cat back, Power FC 11 psi, stock modified air box, stock cat, stock twins, stock engine. For that run the car spun uncontrollably all the way through first and part of second and it still did the 0 - 100 a bit under 12 seconds with 11 psi and stock twins sequential. If you race her from a roll of about 45 mph in second you'll win if your car is running correctly. You'll be a couple cars ahead at 100 mph. Shut down when you're done with third gear.
The only way you're going to loose with a properly running FD is if you have a single turbo and low boost with big laggy intercooler which would have a lousy power curve.

His car does not have the same mods yours did (close, but not the same). And, FWIW, I wouldn't be timing some 3rd party street videos of total strangers & their cars for a comparison test? (not trying to "pontificate" - just noting the cars & conditions are unknowns).
I'm no drag expert but own a modded SLK55 & modded RX-7 (as well as both cars in stock format). From what I know of his mods & a stock SLK55, it will be a tight race in the 1/4. It looks to me to be a tight race & hey, if he loses, he can get a massage from his hottie
. See ya,

Lose buy the food, then graciously and a movie then go for a stroll around the park talking about “I never noticed the back end of you car curved the way it did until you passed me
” After that play it by….. ear???

With only a downpipe and exhaust, it's not looking good for you to be honest. I driven many of the AMG mercedes and the SLK 55 is no joke even if it ain't got the chargers like S, E,SL....Don't race her one mistake and she own you..

If it's the Carrara GT run from a standing start up to about 60, no more.
If it's a Lamborghini of any type run from a standing start.
If it's the Mercedes run from 45 mph. Start in your second gear.
Don't cut your FD short. Check your FD for boost leaks starting from above the turbos all the way to the intercooler and then from intercooler to the throttle body. Look for oil residue with dust adhered to it. If there's dust and oil there it leaks and you're loosing power. Keep your car out of boost before racing. Don't sit at idle.

I'd like to see you buds car run. I bet he's pulling your chain.
Those Nobles are cool. I have one in my Xbox 360.

remember to subtract the ponies lost to the wheels on the benzo.
figure 11-14% and thats about 40 hp so it should look more like
3517/315=11.16 vs 2904/260=11.16
looks like a good race to me both with same power to weight ratio
good luck

according to this comparison it would be close, but you should be faster.. (well presumably considering your mods)
