from a dead stop you will get owned by the amg. Stay away from racing 140+ thousand dollar cars.

A guy in my neiborhood has a black C65 twin turbo and he paid over 200k for his and he loves to smoke tuner cars while blasting the AC and laughing.

The SLK 55 AMG is N/A, about 3600lbs with driver and 355 engine HP.

If you're loosing to one of these in a slightly modifed FD something is broken in your car.

what does she do to get such a nice car
Look at her, her face shows daddys girl.

But she is cute. How are you even trying to race her? Why dont you try to get into her pants?

I dont understand some people.

Limited yes but a very big $ pit. A freind of the family owns one,(very sexy car) but he is trying to get rid of it before he takes the big hit. Its to much of a hastle to drive on the streets. If you get flat you have to have the dealer ship come and pick it up on a special truck and put it on their crazy *** lift to change it.

i'm sure the warranty will provide the towing and everything. the only section on the car that i don't like is the wheels. Is really fugly.

i ran a slk55 on stock twins running 13psi (345hp) and beat him by 2 1/2 cars. so you shouldnt have a problem winning the race!

SLK wasn't all that impressive. Matter of fact, the one I beat and got on video was the one with the link posting the time it ran. The kid's name is Dinko and I saw him run at the track before. Anyways, I beat him on low boost (10psi on a single turbo), which I had made 336rwhp. If you're around that hp range with your mods then you should have her beat.

not sure if you raced her yet, but i've driven the slk55 and you will need at least 300 whp to beat that car. from a stop the traction control is flawless and it will launch consistently. and its got a lot of torque, so from a roll it will pull hard without breaking a sweat. if she knows how to use her car.... (tranny in sport mode, paddle shifts to stay in right gear from a roll) she will beat you if your car isn't at least 300 at the wheels and tuned properly. however if she never drives her car hard you stand a better chance. the 7-speed auto is a learning transmission and adapts to the driver's driving style. so if she normally cruises you have a better chance of beating her on her first couple of runs because it takes a few for the transmission to recognize and confirm what the driver is trying to do. either way you should race her and try the whole win/lose date thing... post the result though.

Here are videos

SLK 55 AMG 0 - 100 - 0 mph
http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...EF52029CDB.htm

FD - 0 - 140 mph with DP, CB , Power FC 11 psi, modified stock air box to help forced induction, low fuel for weight reduction
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/7...4CAE7C07B4.htm

I found a video of the SLK 55 AMG Mercedes on Streetfire.net doing a 0 - 100 - 0. You can watch when the car starts accelerating a bit under 2 seconds in the video. The 0 - 100 looks like it's a bit over 12 seconds. The Mercedes computer traction control sticks the car good off the line and pulls smooth on up to 100. I also have a video of my old FD for 0 - 140. At the time I had a down pipe, cat back, Power FC 11 psi, stock modified air box, stock cat, stock twins, stock engine. For that run the car spun uncontrollably all the way through first and part of second and it still did the 0 - 100 a bit under 12 seconds with 11 psi and stock twins sequential. If you race her from a roll of about 45 mph in second you'll win if your car is running correctly. You'll be a couple cars ahead at 100 mph. Shut down when you're done with third gear.

The only way you're going to loose with a properly running FD is if you have a single turbo and low boost with big laggy intercooler which would have a lousy power curve.
