Would u guys rebuild the engine or leave at alone when number are around 7.8kg
I know factory manual say ,if below 7kg u need for sure
My car start up fine, either cold or hot , no blow by from hour of race
My engine is stock with 99 turbo
Race hour about 16hr
The reason I am.ask opion is, recently I read one shop at japan , saying if ur. Stock FD3S compression number is below 7.5 u should consider rebuild
The theory behind is, the min compression is list way back in FC3S era~
At that time FC have much lower hp, so as for later model inorder to keep 90%of ur engine performance, the C/P number should be over 8KG
Personaly I think if it start up fine ,no blow by and ur CP number are even and above 7
I would not open it😀

I've heard 5.8 as rebuild time. I drive mine until it won't hot start.
