Me and a skilled friend slapped on some new graphics on the #70 Spec 7 car today:

This car has been mercilessly flogged to red line on hot Texas racetracks for 30 years. It looked like a pos before the graphics. Now whenever I look in the garage it makes me smile. We jammed VH on the stereo during the install to channel the proper spirit. The picture leaves out the cool decals of my name with the US flag on each rear 1/4 window (rally style) as well as the giant orange 'R" on the rear window. Anyone know what that stands for?

 

R? Runnin with the scca? Somebody get me an Rx7?

If you're out at MSR this month for the NASA race I'll try to stop by. I won't have my car ready but I'll be out there hanging with buddies.

 

Oh I will be there- other than running TT after comp school once it will be my first W2W race.

Bring a video camera and a fire extinguisher.

 

Looks cool Not sure how I feel about the yellow mirrors as I would have gone with white ones instead but I'm diggin' the car. Great job

Wow, those "Dazzle" war ship paintjobs are kewl. Would have been alot harder to do, maybe when I get my GT3 I'll do her up that way! I did paint the mirrors white before the race, this took longer than the stripe job, took about 5 coats of white spray paint to cover up that yellow.

popped the main gasket at last race, a buddy is bringing me his spare engine next month for cheeep. In the meantime I'm thinking about running the next race in TTB with my M3, haven't tracked it yet. It really, really wants to go to the track....
