Hmm I gotta buy one. The local parts store gauges are not that accurate.

I really like my Joe's Racing Gauge. The best part really is the straight-swivel chuck.

I'm warry of used analog gauges, since they are prone to damage if tossed around. My friend had one that read 6 psi off after a few years of being chucked around his garage. It's a precision instrument, but not everyone treats it like one.

The digital tire pressure gauges are pretty reliable. Some may not like it and prefer to go with the traditional type. There are quite of few on the market so just compare the reviews on different brands.

I found this article which compares several air pressure gauges:

the problem with digital is that its digital, you need to have the display in at least 2 digits after the decimal point to offer the same resolution as an analog gauge, which most digital gauges don't do.

i have one that only does .5 a psi, which makes it completely useless even in a street car

Grassroots Motorsports did an article on the topic of air pressure gauges ages ago:

Here is an article from longacre:

I have a digital Longacre that i got for $30 or so that I use for setting temps on my Spec Miata. Works fine for me.
