Where to buy race body panels?

I am in the market to buy fiberglass or carbon body parts to convert my car for SCCA unlimeted class racing.

Please advise any shops that sell the one piece front clips and other panels.

Prices ???

Also, does anyone know the part numbers for the Mazda Comp. race body parts?

SR Motorsports had a one piece front end in their Garage Sale section, not sure if they still have it (listed all the way at the bottom).

Look in the back of SportsCar magazine or perhaps Grassroots Motorsports to find places that sell race glass.

I also know somebody makes a complete 3rd gen body but it is made for a tube frame chassis; it would be a lot of effort to make it work with the unibody.

Check ISCRacing www.iscracing.net -- they have flares and whatnot. Not sure what gen you're looking for, though.

If you call mazdacomp they can tell you the part numbers. I have no doubt they'll tell you the number even if you aren't a member.

What Chris said. Mariah also has them. I'm having some custom ones made. The Houston EP guys have some really nice molds.

You really need to define your project a little more. assuming a third gen you have many choices, problem is many will actually add weight. if you are going to be making north of 400 wheel, you will need a widebody for tires, but the only SCCA "unlimited" class is SPO, and that is home to tube frame 700hp monsters. Since you are in cali, I assume you meant NASA. I have an SU prepped FC, and I regularly run with an SU FD. We both are running TTU currently while we get our cars sorted, then it is off to SU. 400-450 wheel, ~2500-2700lbs w/driver, and lots of tire(slicks) will get you competitive, assuming you can drive well. You can call me on a weekend day, and I can give you an idea of what it is all about. Better than that come to ThunderHill 10/29-30, and see us run, maybe go for a ride. In a nutshell, lot's of money, and time like all racing is what it takes. I would find a highly developed car, and buy it, then modify it for the rigors of racing. This will save you huge cash over doing most of the mods yourself. Carl

I apologize, I did mean NASA SU.

I am currently building a FD that will be around 400 rwhp. I think that should be enough and allow me to run safely for extended periods.

The motor is set up and the tuning is about to be completed. All that is left is paint and body work. The car has no damage but I am getting rid of some Japanese body work to trade up for lightening up the car and ease of replacement.

I was hoping to get into contact with 7parts or some one that makes similar body work.

Please advise any contact info and pricing you may be aware of.

Thanks again!
