Springs with your new shocks, aluminum flywheel will help rev quicker, good sticky tires will make a dramatic improvement if you don't already run them. Powermods for the FD maybe a piggyback computer, don't think you can run a boost controller in ASP (i'll look tonight and let ya know) SM2 I know you can run a boost controller. Boost controller and piggyback computer would help with power.

Here they do a visual test, the computer tells them the car must have 2 cats and they actually have to crawl around and look, so the DP would be a deal buster. The Eibachs sound like a winner though, at least for now. I'm assuming that they are stiffer than the stock springs and not just lowering springs, because I can lower the car just with the Konis themselves. Then once I get faster with a better handling car, then I can add on some powr mods (and that would be with next season's budget.)

After checking my 04 rule book, You can take off the cats and any other emissions device in ASP (any street prepared class). You CAN-NOT use a boost controller though in Street Prepared. You can also change the turbos to an updated/backdated factory unit. ala 99 spec units.

Ca smog law requires both cats too. In reality, the smog techs don't generally look for the precat. Its hard to see from on top of the car, and most techs won't bother to look underneath if everything else looks OK.

My "Cheap Bastard Intake Mod" will pass smog visual, and sniff testing. It can't be seen after intallation.

DP is really a mother to see w/o the car jacked up, even then a "crafty" dude could/would take the sheetmetal shielding off the pre-cat and have it welded to the DP. It could confuse all but FD experts...

The Eibachs are stiffer I just don't know how much stiffer, they do lower the car 1/2-3/4" over stock. Some FDs have settled enough that the Eibachs don't lower the car much. I'd buy new upper rubber mounts if yours are falling apart. They used to be ~$50/ea from Mazdacomp.

No, you can't go to 99 specs. Update/backdate in this case applies to '93-95 US models.

Yes I believe it has to be a US car to apply to the update/backdate rules. Of course in SM2 you CAN put on any twins or mods to the twins.
