Isn't that doable? Or if you just have a laptop just hook it up to that ...
Webcam picture will probably suck pretty hard compared to a DV cam. I've been toying with the idea of putting a carputer in my car and having a multi camera chase cam system hooked up to it.

I stumbled across a thread on the improvedtouring.com website here is a link to the thread. Keep in mind it is for a "cheap" setup. I'm doing a 2- 480 line camera set up with two neouros PVRs. After Turkey day I'll start the install. I can post it up here for others to see as well

I'm in SD as well do you run with NASA? I haven't seen many other RX7 s at the events.

Feel free to post up your install and share the love.

I'm planning on a full season of NASA HPDE next year. I think I got all the bugs sorted out of my car at this point and it should be reliable on track.

PM'ing you.

chasecam.com has some great camera systems for motorsports. Low-cost mounts too.

Here are some links to videos using the setup I mentiond earliery.

Right click and save.

Hallett Motor Racing Circuit 1 Lap Attached to Helmet:

I have the passenger seat removed and made a mount for the camera that attaches to the seat rail bolt holes. Gives easy access to turn the recorder on and off. The camera can then remotely mount anywhere on the car.
