I laughed at this comment too. Sucks that happened, but like it was stated earlier, at least it was at the track and it's not catastrophic (sp?). Good luck getting everything repaired.

Damn man. Sorry.

So basically you mashed the throttle on the painted curb part and thats how you spun out? I dont think it was a tire issue then because that part is normally always slippery no?

Anyway nice run, wish we can get more vids of you on dry surface.

If you notice in the vid, he did it earlier as well but didn't spin it. IMO, I wouldn't run those tires in that situation.

sorry to see this happen most have done the same and feel just as bummed, for those who haven't yet ...... keep trying, you'll get there....
glad you are fine and the car isnt too bad,
Q:on some of our tracks out west we stay off the dry line a bit for better wet traction, is that not the same out where it rains more?
BTW: I am a big fan of unshaved RA1's in intermediate wet, truly amazing really.....full downpour... who cares, they all suck, unless you use dirt trackers......

I think it was a combination of a lot of things - Fritz gave the best analysis above - but the concrete didn't help. The biggest factor was the nut behind the wheel

i have a few more vids on youtube if you want to watch

I think that's normally how it works as there is a wet line and a dry line, but the way the rain was at this event (spritz then dry, rain then dry) I think everyone was running the dry line to get the track dried out quicker. This was only my 2nd wet event and my instructor actually made no comments about taking a drastically different line for the wet conditions.
