Updates on VIR June 18-19 event?

How was the event? How's the new layout? Hope the weather was great.

I cancelled my spot b/c I am still breaking in my new reman from the blowup at the March event.

Anyway, wondered how it went and if anyone is posting videos from the event.

Ramon

The weekend was great, weather was 70 and clear almost the whole time. I liked the grand east layout, not as high-speed on the back straight but more challenging with the elevation changes. Also there was a new passing zone although nobody seemed to use it.

I'm going to get some video from a guy that was following me in an M3 but I'm not sure how interesting it will be.

My loss. Next year I guess. I'll be passing on the new ridiculous course at Summit Point this year. Looking forward to the pics and vids.

Sweet pics, bringing back memories, now I can't wait until my next day at Summit!

I wish I was doing the tracquest event, I heard they're run really well but expensive.

Yeah it's expensive, but in two days you'll probably get about 8 hrs of track time!! 600 bucks for 8 hrs isn't that bad. It's the gas that will kill you

Historic Sportscar Racing will be at VIR July 8-10. I will have my old blue IMSA GTU RX-7 there to keep the Porsches honest.

Will HSR run the Grand East course or another layout?

Would love a picture of your IMSA GTU off-line if you have a chance; email to my ID.
