It's definitely geared for drag and NOT road racing.
Who cares if the exhaust is pointing upwards? It's a short exit for a few second pass.
I doubt the car's weight is vastly affected with the v-8. Depending on what components are used and how the rest of the car is prepped, it could be balanced.
A 20B conversion couldn't touch this set-up.

im not really sure how balanced the car is but it should hook very well with the rear setup i have from pushing the car around feels very light compared to it with the rotary

but i'll take a 20b conversion ne day. i too think the balance shouldn't be affected much
