ok...im running reginal s.c.c.a with a 70 mg midget with a 12a bridgeport and 456 posi i.r.s rear.that being said car is a beast and incredable to (try) and drive! my problem is my 12a came with 2 4 speed trans and the 1 im using shifts farly good from 1st to 2nd an 7,000.......but is a beast to try and get into 3rd an high rpms,especialy with any quick like shifting.so will a miata 1st gen 5 speed bolt up to my 12a? and if so what will i need to change to make it work??? really want a 5 speed but $$$ is a big factor in my build,only 2 weeks away till season starts and my 1st real run on track.

 

Are you interested in the Miata gearbox for the ratios?

You can swap the Miata gears into an FC N/A transmission, which should bolt right up to your 12A.

ok....on the inturnals swap.can you use miata 5 speed gears in my rx7 ( i guss thats what it is) 4speed box? or is it a 5 speed to 5 speed only swap? just trying to understand whats used to do what in trans swap

I'd be surprised if you couldn't find an FC N/A gearbox for $150.
