Springs

I've got an 81 FB, and was wondering which springs to choose. I was looking at Racing Beat's lowering springs. I need to go down, but I'm not sure if the 20% increase in spring rate is sufficient. I'll be running Koni red's up front, and Tokico blue's in the back. I'll be road racing at VIR and Watkin's Glen etc. Which springs do you guys suggest?

If you're going to be racing the thing, and rules allow it, go ahead and make the switch to a coil over set up. For years and years I ran stock type coil springs (mine were the Rotary Engineering springs). The switch to springs more than 300# was something I should have done a long time ago. I expected the car to ride like a wagon - instead the car actually rode better since it was no longer hitting the bump stops.

Coil overs aren't in the budget right now. I just need it to get me through HPDE right now. But I will be going coil overs in the future with more likely a Ford 8.8". But at least I know I need a spring with over 300#. You recommend around 325# or something near that? I know I need to come down at least an inch.
