Set of scales
There are a few race shops in the area that will rent you time on their scales. I have the priveldge of having one of those shops loan me his scales any time I want them.
Just look through the yellow pages and start calling. Or talk to some of the guys in your local SCCA, NASA, etc chapter. And last, don't be afraid of the circle track and drag racers. They always have cool toys to borrow.

I have a buddy with scales, but ask your local racing speed shops if there's a shop specializing in racing alignments, they almost always have corner scales there.
Also, what Chris said, the local racers, someone's bound to have them, go to a track event, and get chummy with someone who has a set. Offer to help crew for them in return for advise, and time with their tools.

When I started racing I cuised some local flee markets and bought an old grain scale. Then I made four blocks that were the same hight as the deck of the scale. Moved it around from corner to corner till I got it balanced. Sound like a royal PIA? YES!!!! So I went and bought another, then another... When you get four of them its just like having the real ones only Flinstone style. I eventually could afford the electronic ones so I sold the grain scales and they paid for a big chunk of the new ones.
