Rotaries make a great showing at Solo Nationals

Congrats to Andy Mckee on winning the SM2 trophy with his 2 rotor FD in Topeka. The results were switched from the Pro with Erik Strelnieks finishing 2nd in his 3 rotor FD.

They only had part of the results up so I did not see SM2L yet.

The RX8 is the car to have in B Stock as Jason Isley led the charge with RX-8s nabbing all but 2 spots in the top 18 places.

Tom Ellam won E Prepared again in his '72 Mazda RX-3 with Jennifer Lee winning EPL in the same car.

There were also 2 guys from Colorado that made a showing in A Street Prepared finishing a couple spots out of the trophys in their FD. I think the name was Mark Mauro if I remember correctly.

There were some RX-8s in Street Touring U but that is a hard fight against the Evos, BMWs and STIs.

All results:

Good call! I was just going off of my head and forgot them while typing. I saw that car last year at Nats. and just stopped dead in my tracks and was in awe. That is a sweet racecar. He should have won last year but got caught up in the weight/body pieces protest.

Erik's 3-rotor sounds freakin awesome.
McKee pulled out an awesome 3rd run on the 2nd day to take the lead.

Andy is a bad *** driver with repeat podium finishes and wins..... Congrats!

Jeff's car is truly amazing.... saw it at SevenStock the past few years. Totally one off work on it. Congrats to the win as well Jeff! Great driving and one hell of a car.

BTW- I want to buy some FD Petit rear flares please contact me Jeff Kiesel.

Thanks,

Mark

spoke to Jeff, and he really wants to start working on his 20B bug-eye sprite, so he wants to find a good home for FD ASAP!

They both frequent this site and both are very friendly. I have been able to meet them both and they will always talk cars and help people out. You could pm them and ask them their set-ups.

Here is a link to pics of their cars and info on their wings:

Here are some shots of Andy McKee's car (AMRX7 on rx7club) from SevenStock9. I've got some engine bay shots as well, and I'll post them if it's OK by him.
