Like Magnus, I was listening to the radio broadcast. I did not make it to the 10th hour but found on the race notes, it was a cooling problem. It was a shame to hear they could not continue. We all know 24 hours is not easy (first time out too!) but I really believe the Speedsource RX8 will open some eye in the GT class and take a few wins as the season moves forward. Best of luck to them!!

Hey all, What a great race!! I was there from the start of the race and even got a signed poster from the #70 as well as a bunch of other teams. The rx8's looked and sounded fantastic!! The # 70 was turnng very fast laps. I was timing the car at 154,155's and was just knifing through the gt's. It qualified 3rd in gt. To see that car pull on the straights was amazing. Exiting the infield and watch it catch and then overtake the corvettes and all others was a real kick. Standing at the base of the fence down past start finish as the DP cars raced by at 180 plus just feet below you is something everyone should do. I'm so geeked!!! will post some pics soon.

The race was insane. I was lucky enough to get garage pass tickets from redbull (GO REDBULL! drink it!). They had a tent/building with chouches, open bar, all 24 hours worth of food and DJed music (and hot bar girls). The #08 RX8 was LOUD and the #70 backfired and blew flames on every upshift of the tight 180* turn (where I did most of my watching). It was an awsome race but disapointing to see all 3 RX8s DNF. From what I heard at the race one was out due to rear suspension, another to a diff failure, and lastly one had a fuel issue (havnt seen this anywhere else but this is what I heard at the race... where info isnt as good on TV). The best part of the whole race was when night fell. The lights, backfires, and glowing rotors lit up the darkness and the cooling asphalt made for some intersting turns (a bit of sliding). I hope to be going back next year!
