I confess; first time I had the seat in to fit the harness, I made engine noises.
Getting close to real noise soon.

The rest of that tar will come off real nice with a bunch of rags and paint thinner....it makes it look so much nicer after it is painted.

Ok ran 12V to the coils mounted inside the car just above the trans tunnel with 14ga wire. then coil + to the other coil +, then coil + (18 ga.) to the igniters, igniter singnals back to the neg. side of the corosponding coils hit the switch, pushed the start button and she fired right up. Thanks guys

Thanks for the suggestion on the wiring. It works great. Got the car running, yeehaa! Took it around a few blocks. NOISY! Then came back and raised the coil overs so the fenders don't rub. Had to take it out again to check it. It's a quick little car.
Still details to work out, but the car is running and stopping, doing car like things.

Hi all, reviving this to get a link to a distro wiring diagram. Anyone have picture of their setups? Where did you get your parts? Any help appreciated, I have a lot to do to get this car ready.

Thanks

old thread needs new life....

Looking for diagram of how to connect the distributor to the coils. It's an older 13B 4 port distributor with 1 red and 1 green wire on both the leading and trailing pickups and a single black/white stripe wire.

I'm a second gen guy helping someone out with a 13b swap into a bug. Everything is done but we don't have spark. I know the distributor works because it ran in the donor car.

Also, I did search and am having no luck finding what I'm looking for and there are a couple of links in this thread pointing others to diagrams but when I click on the links either the sites have changed or I'm an idiot which is possible but I don't see what I need. Thanks for any help.
