q about racing verts with role bars
I was just thinking about a racing miata since my unrealistic idea of the month is getting 10k, builting a miata and magically racing in a miata class. lol.
anyway, say you have your roll bar behind you. maybe you've rigged a net over the driver door. what's too keep your hands from getting pinched under the bar in a violent roll over? is this just an accepted risk for roadster racing?

LOL, you'd figure with the open wheel racers in your sig you'd know what they are called.
Any sanctioning body or school (as in your sig) that uses open wheeled cars require them. Actually the proper place to attach the arm restraints is to the racing harness so they release together with the main harness as it is released for quick emergency exits. They should go above or below you elbow but not at the elbow. You get used to them and forget they are there pretty quick. The alternative is not much of a choice in my mind. They can be used in any type of car.
