Which prepared class will I be in for SOLO II?

I have decided to cut back on Auto-X ing the FD. So now it is the FCs turn. Last time I ran this car I was in CS. That is now ES with the bump into CSP. I don't think I will be in F mod yet.
Here is the set up.
86 gxl
no interior except seat
mostly removed dash(kept shell to hold stock instruments)
lexan side windows, sunroof and hatch
no steel under bumpers
Stock port block (until rebuild old engine with SP or BP) ported UIM, LIM, and TB with modified intake
removed PS, AC, Heater lines, all emisions
Header and mostly open exhaust
16x8 FD wheels with Hoosier A3S03s

I already know the inspectors will be clueless as to which class to put this thing into. I don't care which class I run in I just want to be fair to the other drivers.

thanks
Jeff

You will be in a Prepared class. Which one the FC goes into I am not sure.

FP.

Kinda oddball pairing for the FB's and NA FC's .... 240Z's, 914's, RX-7's (non-turbo).

Do you have any porting on the motor?
Sounds like you will be in street Modified II.
Its a class for odball 2 seater cars.
Thats were they will put me when I buy this Rx-7 in august.
It has an SP 88 13b, so it puts it out of any of the other classes.
So they stick you here, as long as you have less than 1.5liters.
Check your rule book its after the Street prepared rules.

If I read the original post correctly, I think he's saying that it's a stock motor ... for now. But the intake and TB have been ported. Still legal for Prepared.

BTW, this year's updated rules for SM2 now allow up to 3.0L for rotaries. Hello, 3-rotor ......

Nope; the interior is gutted along with instalation of lexan windows. Car only eligible for a Prepared class.

Yup, I knew I was bumped from SM II. The letters just get me goofed up. FP sounds right. It is still the stock engine with the porting on the intake pieces. I know that when I put in the streetported engine I will be in FM. I tried scaring all my friends w/miatas in CSP by telling them I was going to be in their class but I knew I was out of that class.
Thanks guys
Jeff

It sounds like FP is is the place for you, and I would assume that with a SP you will still be in FP.

I have a ported motor in a FC T2 BP car and it is legal.

Prepared, IMO is the place to be if you like to mess with cars. There is a lot of limitations in the other classes and not so much in Prepared.
