The Amsoil link you posted is incorrect. You posted the link for the two-cycle oil, not the two-cycle premix oil (one goes in the crank, the other in the gas tank).

I use the Amsoil, and I think it works great. A work of caution to anyone purchasing two-cycle oil, make sure you are buying premix and not engine oil. Yes, there is a difference.

Bringing this one back from the dead.

I'm getting ready to go premix myself. I'm going to use
Idemitsu Racing Rotary Fuel Lube (Premix). Do you guys run the stock
fuel filter? Or some other aftermarket filters? I'm running a TII

I run a Canton fuel filter only because it seemed to be the best bang for the buck in racing filters.

I use the Maxima Castor 927 as well, (Valvoline in a pinch) thinkn about tryin' Klotz Benol and/or R50... castor based/additive premix smells soooO goooOd!!

For those running aftermarket fuel filters, has anyone had issues with clogging up paper filiments with pre-mix? I am wondering about 100 micron size filters. I know there are mesh replacement filters, but wondering if they are really needed.

Mesh screen filter immediately out of the cell before the pump. It's a must if you run a fuel cell in my opinion. The foam will degrade over time, clog your pump and then fail. After the pump before the injectors I have this fuel filter https://www.cantonracingproducts.com...&category=2507 - can't remember if it is the 1 or 8 micron size but have no clogging issues whatsoever with 1oz/1gal pre-mix.

I have a Summit 10 micron which as a metal mesh filter just after the cell and prior to the first fuel pump. Then I have the Summit 100 micron with paper filter after the second fuel pump/swirl pot before fuel heads to the injectors.

With a swirl pot, I have thought about ditching the foam inside the fuel cell. I would think it would only hurt as it breaks down and only slightly help since I have a pressurized swirl pot. I have only run less than a few gallons in the fuel cell so there is probably minimal breakdown at this point.

What I was wondering about is that 100 micron paper filter and premix, but I am thinking it would be money well spent to just upgrade to a 100 micron metal mesh filter.
I was just curious if anyone had filter failure related to pre-mix and paper filters.

Is a fully synthetic pre-mix fine with a carb'd 12A (48 IDA)?

Currently I run Lucas' semi-synthetic. I'm considering Idemitsu.

You can not go wrong with Idemitus or their recommended mix ratios;

Idemitsu racing rotary engine oil and premix lubricants

Also with a fuel cell, you should (must) run a 100 micron pre-filter between the cell and the pump and a second main 10 micron filter between the pump and the injectors. If you are running carburetors then the main filter can be a 40 micron unit.

I've been meaning to introduce a second filter between the pump and the fpr. That link has the quarts at slightly less than mazdatrix' price. I'll have to look into them for future purchases.

From all of my own researching I've already been running (Lucas pre-mix) .5 oz per 1 gallon of fuel so that's good to know I've already implemented that habit.
