The red Rx7 was racing at willow springs this weekend. Took first in class and 2nd overall. 1:31 fastest lap. My favourite was when he out handeled the ferrari and repassed the ferrari in turn one. Several porsches were slower and not pleased. Once the rx7 got an open piece of track it gradually pulled away. Nice job! I'll have film developed this week.
I met Louie and I believe Jose, team members, good people. Did the intercooler temps come down?
My 12a jbridge should do well in the Touring Cup class against the full aero swoosh 914 doing 1:38-1:41's.

Yes it was an awesome weekend at willow springs Int'l Raceway, on Sept. 25th & 26th, Driving this red Rotary rocket a 93 RX7 R1 car #333, we put our Ferrari Modena and Porsche RSR friends to shame, Saturday by finishing second overall in the TCRA GT challenge race and 1st in class, correction the fast lap was actually 1:30:06 Done on Lap 8.
The icing on the cake came on Sundays Race. We Ran out of time to qualify properly on Sunday morning due to some trailer problems, so we did a quick 2 laps with cold tires just to get a qualifying time for Sundays race, we only managed 8th on the grid, the checkered dropped at 1:50 pm, I went from 8th to 5th, out driving and passing 3 cars on the first lap , including our Bragging friends with Team Supra Racing with his booostin 500 + HP 93 Supra, showed him the rear end of a better handling RX7, sticking a difficult pass on the outside of Turn 3, once I had that out of the way, I went chasing after the purpose built ex BMW works car of cunningham 3 time world challenge championship winning BMW, driven by it's new owner, I was quick to catch him and pass him on the second lap, on Lap 5 went on to put a lap down on Martins Fully race prepared # 106 Silver Ferrari Modena Challlenge cup car, (Martin, you got get Yourself an RX7, momentum is everything) chasing the 3 remaining cars, that had put a good clean gap on me, Was able to close the gap down to 11 seconds , but ran out of time, I managed to take 4th overall, first in class.
Giving me 23 points per race, a total of 46 points for the weekend, puts me in a healthy lead over my rivals, for the 2004 GT3 Championship. I have to say the car ran almost flawlessly, except for the air Temps, We will figure it out before the next race On Oct. 16-17th at Buttonwillow Raceway. The guys at Rotary reliability and Racing have built me a bullet proof very reliable fast car RX7, anybody wanting to built a no B.S. fast car call these guys at 714-641-2980. Talk to Louis or Nick, We will have pics available soon. To all my Rotary Rocket driving friends, you should come and join the TCRA races, they have driving classes, Time trial events, Door to Door racing, whatever the level you are in, doesn't matter, let's show the world how much damage a tee cup size engine could do!! Checkout the events at www.touringcarclub.com
