It's an "air separator tank", an aluminum replacement for the factory plastic one. Used on FD motors mostly.

i saw those. do you know where i can find one that can hook straight to the water neck and have the same for an outlet. the one linked has 7/16"? lines only.

Could be a custom hole saw & aluminum weld job. Wouldn't think it would be too difficult once you have one of those AST tanks.
