anyone know what its called, where i can get one etc..

It's an "air separator tank", an aluminum replacement for the factory plastic one. Used on FD motors mostly.

i saw those. do you know where i can find one that can hook straight to the water neck and have the same for an outlet. the one linked has 7/16"? lines only.

Could be a custom hole saw & aluminum weld job. Wouldn't think it would be too difficult once you have one of those AST tanks.

We call them swirl pots.

that looks more like what im looking for.
