Need NorCal roll cage builder

All -

I need a recommendation for a roll cage installer/fabricator here in NorCal - the closer to Sacramento the better. I want a full cage that meets or exceeds NASA Super Unlimited specs - testimonials, pics of past work for FDs is mandatory. I did a search, came up dry.

I don't have a custom cage yet but I always hear good things about this place:

Looks like a sample of an FD for you too:

Among the Spec Miata and some BMW people, I've heard alot about both Evil Genius and TC Designs. I've been working with Evil Genius to try and get my tranny rebuilt. He is a busy guy and its been slow. I've seen cages from both in Spec Miatas and they have done some really nice work.

You can also ask Roger Kraus Racing but I don't personally know if he does cages.

I'd suggest asking the people on specmiata.com or sfrscca or other scca forums and also bimmerforums if you don't get any other input here.

Thanks, folks

OK, at least I've got one with TC Design. I also live very close to Ground Control in Cameron Park and will ask Jay if he has a more local connection. TC's work looks good, but I'd like a seat brace to meet ST NASA class, I think.

www.blainefabrication.com

He's in Santa Cruz, so a bit of a hike for you, but his quality is top notch. You can see examples of his cages on his site, and he did the cage for my car, so he's familar with RX-7s. Tell him Paul said hi.

Regards,

+2 for GoTo Racing. They did an impressive job on both of the Tapped Racing race cars.

TC Design Fab. Definitely. TC did the cage in my FC while he was still working out of the Frey shop. Excellent work. Great guy.

Calc-risk appears to be no longer

www.calc-risk.com domain seems to be for sale - are they still in business? I had heard of them, but nothing hits on Google. GOTO is definitely a good place to inquire. Brian Lock and the black RX7 are a formidible combination.

Thanks for the referrals guys. See you at Thill April 25th and 26th!

I can't find a local contact number for Mike, who supposedly lives in my neighborhood. Anyone have a contact number for him?

Made contact

I was able to speak to Steve Lock and he's forwarding my info to Mike. Turns out Mike lives about 2 miles from me. Will discuss details and hopefully cage the car this winter.
