Lost Oil Pressure

I went to a track day yesterday and the car ran great (except for the loss of the ring gear). As I am driving home my oil pressure drops to almost 0 (o at idle). I have checked and the wire is still connected to the sensor. I have an S4 engine in a first gen car.

Any ideas of what happened, and what I need to do to fix this?

plumb in a real pressure gauge and check the real oil pressure.

One possibility is that the O-ring between the front housing & the front iron blew. This can cause very low oil pressure, and is apparently a problem with the stock S4 engines.
