NC Lets build a rx7 club chumpcar?

Ok i have this great idea.lets build a rx7 chumpcar racecar.i want to build a 1990 vert into a chumpcar racecar.and put rx7club all over it and only have fellow rx7club members work and build car and drive.what do you guys think?what do you think rx7club wanna give me some decals??lol

oh and i already have the 1990 vert im going to part out all the inside and stuff you dont need to race.so the car will be no cost to start.and it already comes with a roll cage.

Do it . You won't regret it. Any pictures of the existing cage? Let me know if you need any resources, tech questions, ect. The Chumpster in your area is a pretty awesome guy and a great resource for new teams.

You might want to make sure you have read the 2011 rules. There are a number of noteable changes.

Keep it simple at first and focus on finishing the race. Don't pop motors like we do .

You can see the full billion picture saga of our FC chumpcar over at www.roadtochumpcar.com.

I've never heard of chump car before. Looks like it's along the lines of 24 hours of lemons.

Very similar. The rules are written in such a way that cars can really be used for either. ChumpCar is a little more race, Lemons is a little more whacky. Both have pretty impressive schedules and cover nearly all of North America. Often, teams compete in both, or whatever races are close to their home town.

Personally, I do a lot more ChumpCar races as lemons has never and has no scheduled events in the pacific northwest. I also like getting not getting a 30 minute penalty for putting a wheel off or cut outs of animals welded to my roof.

Sounds like fun. If you were closer I'd be all over this. Good luck with your project!

We just built a second gen for the "not quite 12 hours of sebring" this weekend. come on out and party with us!

We will also be competing in the 24 hrs lemons on new years at moroso raceway.

PredaTURD performance car number 55.

and yes, do it, I highly reccomend it. nothing like a rotary on the track.
