Junk braded stainless oil lines

This is just a warning. Check the quality and materials of aftermarket braded stainless oil lines before you use them in your car.
I replaced my tired stock SE engine with a new race prepared engine. This bumped my oil pressure up to racing levels. I was using what looked like quality aftermarket braided stainless oil lines for plumbing the oil cooler to the engine. I don't know the manufacturer but they were a production part built for the RX7. During the first lap of our first race with the new engine, one of the oil lines blew out of the fitting. The loss of oil pressure took out a rotor, the e-shaft and two housings. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the lines were hard nylon or teflon tubes with a braided stainless cover. These were definitely low quality junk pretending to be race parts.
So, don't be like me. I got lazy. I didn't inspect every single part I used on my race car and it cost me dearly.
Cheers,
Jim

I know a little late, but braided line comes in 2 varieties, the rubber inner and a teflon inner. The teflon inner is actually the best kind however the fittings are different than the rubber variety. They are also rated for a very high psi not to mention a wide variety of chemicals. It would seem almost impossible for them to use the wrong fitting but most likely it was assembled incorrectly.
