I auto Xed my FC without my rear leading spark plug wire
I ran my FP 86 GXL yesterday. On my first run I ripped a hole in my heater core bypass cap and blew coolant on the track(not a good way to impress officials). I went to the parts store quickly and got a new one. Putting it on I removed the plug wire to reach the clamp better. I was in a rush to make 3rd run and threw the hood back on and took off. It ran a little rough and did not pull as well out of tight corners. It was not too major at all to make me think something was wrong. I ran 4 runs that way and found the wire hanging down as I was changing tires to go home. So was I running on 1 rotor or does the trailing take over at that point? I am just kind of curious how the engine did what it did. I am sure the plug is fouled because it ran rough on the way home.
It was just one more thing on my day of folly. Can you say 4 DNFs for missing the same slalom. At least I am good at laughing at myself.

Hahaha
I thought your car sounded a little funny. At least it made it through the event and you didn't overheat when the coolant went everywhere....you know how much that sucks.

That's a day to remember!
I worry all the time about plugs and wires, ever since I had a spark plug vibrate right out of my beater Honda Accord. It was running and sounding a bit off, so I popped the hood and watched in sick amazement as the #3 plug wire jumped up and down by itself. Now I check them on every car.
Hey you guys send me a link or something to the local schedule. Maybe I'll try to run my 928 (4000lb automatic-trans high-geared Grand Touring autobahner, perfect auto-xer eh?) before I sell it... thanks in advance!
