DIY Dry sump pics and info
Hey guys, Here is what's happening. I've managed to get my hands on a dry sump pump , tank and the accompanying parts. I want to use it on my 20B ( street/track ). Yes I know it's overkill, but here is why I want to do things this way.
1. I don't have to buy a subframe.
2. I'm going to be pretty low to the ground
3. I enjoy being diffferent
4. There is a reason they use these on dedicated race / factory supercars. They work
I don't remember where it was I saw it but I did do some searching and I can't find the thread. But, someone built their own dry sump system for a P port 13B and if they can do it so can I. But there were some pictures of the oil pan( plate) and I can't find them. I had intended to use them as a template for my build. Any help would be appreciated.

Pick one off ebay, any of them will flow more than enough oil. Depending on how you want to scavenge a two stage would probably work, three would work for sure(one pressure, two scavenge).
You could use a two stage and just have an external manifold to bring them together before the pump.

Would it be possible to get a diagram to show layout of say a 3 stage, Pressure feed would feed into the rear housing in lieu of oil filter housing, I would need to run a remote filter in the pressure line.
Any details (Pics) would be great.
Many Thanks.

If you've seen the pictures I posted in the thread I linked to I can just describe it to you faster than I could draw it in MS Paint.
Coming out of the front cover, each port would feed a seperate stage of the pump on the scavenge side. These two stages can be brought together into one big hose to send the oil to the remote tank. The tank holds the oil and has plates in it that the oil falls through to help remove the air bubbles.
The oil comes out the bottom of the tank and goes to the pressure stage of the pump. Out of the pump and through a filter, coolers, and back to the main oil galley.
On the rotary you can bring the oil back into the stock location and either plug the hole for the stock regulator or use it(the pumps have regulators in them that are adjustable). Or, you can skip all the right angle turns and bring the oil back into the front plate and stock oil filter location.
