ChumpCar AIV
Hi All
I'm on a ChumpCar team preparing an 81' RX7 for the Halloween race at PIR in Portland.
We could use some help with our Average Internet Value. We are having a hard time finding "running" comps for much less that $450-$500 dollars (most of these from Craig's List). Obviously that doesn't leave much room for us to do improvements.
If anyone has a better source for cheap comps ($350 range?) or better success and/or is willing to share what they have found we would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Doug

RE ChumpCar AIV.
Who can offer trades?? Everyone benefits from lowering their AIV.
We have what we think is a passable $250 comp and a few at the $400 range.
Will offer PDFs in trade for other PDFs of comps in the $300 to $350 range.
Let's work together so we can all field competitive cars!
Thanks
Doug

spec miatas are probably running as EC (Exception Class) Which we may do. Kind of a moot point though since EC cars aren't scored for place finish, so not much different than taking a hit on the lap penalties.

Just ran Fontana Chump with a 90 NA and didn't get sweated too hard. They kind of riffled through the ads and gave me a $500 value and then added $50 for a header and $50 for a bigger swaybar. They let the aftermarket air filter go. Ended up with a 5 lap penalty for the extra goodies. They had a deal where you could donate $100 to the Red Cross and "buy" 5 laps. As long as it doesn't say "Parts Car", "Project" or something like that I think you'll be good. BTW. there should be no way in heck you should be running a 1st gen in EC.
