Welding FC Pinion Gear
Ok, who still does this? I know speedsource did at one time but im not sure they do anything with RX-7s anymore. Also ISC did at one time...waiting for an email back form Mike.
I want a shop that has done a few, and figured out the right welding rod, heat/cryo treating, etc to make them last....
I bought a few sets of 4.78 gears out of some Junk-yard Kias. Thinking some other folks might want to get in on a group cost for the machine work, or just sell them to guys with other cars...
My understanding is these will bolt into S2000s, Miatas, and 1st gens? Is that true?

Someone on this forum had a 4.78 done at http://www.rebelloracing.com/, he'll probably chime in soon.
There is a guy involved with Speedsource who is still doing them, but you won't find him here and he wouldn't want me posting his name. PM me and I will point you in the direction where to find him.

You can also use the miata Torsen diff in the big bearing first gen. The Kia front third member is a direct swap for first gen big bearing diff.
