Carbon vs Stock hatch

Carbon vs Stock hatch

What is the weight difference with no glass?

stock rear hatch w/glass and stock R1 wing = 53lbs
glass only= 19lbs
carbon fiber hatch only (no lexan)=14lbs
lexan only=12lbs

I just changed mine and weighed everything with an accurate scale.

Stock R1 wing weighs about 4lbs.

Are you sure you didn't get the stock weights backwards? I can't see that glass weighing only 19lbs and the hatch 30+ lbs. The other way around, maybe.

Just wondering.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I always thought that the glass was the heaviest part of the hatch, but I guess that I was wrong.

On a FC, I believe the glass is the heaviest part.
