rear end

I have tried to search. Im looking for writeups on upgrading the FD rear end. Either taking a TII diff and putting it in the FD casing, or doing a ford 9" rear end. Can anyone please post some threads for me?

Thanks
Eric

Lots of threads on that. Look at the FAQ sticky in the 3rd gen section for a couple. I don't have any direct links for ya.

What type of racing are you doing? If you want to retain the IRS there is a kit to put in an 8.8 pumpkin.

The T2 ('86-88 is the preferred one- clutch pack style) LSD bolts right in. Simply pull out the stock Torsen LSD and remove the ring gear. Bring it to a shop and have them reinstall it with the T2 LSD and check the backlash for proper clearance.
