Brigestone Potenza RE-12D

Last year i run Dunlop Z3 on local time attack event with my Rx8 had pretty good result
And the rule say 12D is legal too
I will test 12D out same day with z3 on first event 2/23

From Japanese magazine testing and some real life track data
RE12D is faster by aleast sec compare to Re71R and faster then A050 & A052 on average

It also get unique design with should slam down, i think they made this opposite then hoosier to get better feed back from tire

Will mount 265/35/18 on 18 x10.5j et35

Looking forward to your feedback - doesn't appear to be much of a street tire compared to the RE-71R given the lack of channels

Similar tread design to the Bridgestone re11a tires which I have. These don’t appear to be available in the states yet after a quick google search. Keep us updated! I’m sure they’ll be awesome, bridgestone really seems to pushing development.

Are these supposed to be like a time trial or autox compound (up to temp quickly, but fragile) like the RE71R or more like a Z3 where they take a few laps to get up to temp?

Let us know how it compares, I am very curious. Had a set of RE-71R's for a season. They did great, but fell off after 8-10 laps. Started to get weirdly greasy by the end of a session.

Does anybody know if/when these might be available in America?

What is the treadwear on these tires? Are they DOT stamped? is it possible to see a clear photo of all the markings on the sidewall? This looks like an amazing tire!

Typically tire will grease up after 3-4 lap
The softer the tire it will grease up even faster
Like Re12D I only time attack for 2 lap
