autox'd for the first time today, looking for advice
Okay. I've made some hp mods to my car so it's over stock numbers around 270whp with a laggy turbo that doens't reach full boost until about 4100rpms in 4th. Anyhow, I have NO suspension mods other than energy bushings. I am running 235/45/17 goodyear f1's tires. Stock T2 struts/springs.
The problem I'm running into is that I'm getting alot of understeer, or more understeer than i desire or thought i would get with my tires. I am keeping in mind that the track was kind of sandy.
I'm wanting suspension tips for making the car handle better thus I have really no suspension mods before I started so I can tell a difference in the car by doing every little thing.
I do have alittle bit of positive camber which you can tell just from looking at the wheels/tires on the car. Would this positive camber on the front be the cause of my understeer issues? I know that usually when you lower the car negative camber is induced. I went ahead and ordered kyb agx's and rb springs. Would this setup offer me enough negative camber to make a difference or do you all recommend camber plates to accompany this suspension change?
Is there anymore information you need about my car that I forgot?

Konis will make the car handle like a dream. Crank them down all the way for auto-x and your car will be very neutral handling. Do a custom alignment and dial in some negative camber. It will work wonders.

Koni's cost too much, plus the front are just inserts and would require modifications to the stock bottom mounts which I hear are junk and that I should go with aftermarket bottom mounts/tubes. Also I don't know how well they work with the stock uppermounts and I would probably need camber plates anyways and that would cost about a grand plus labor on my part to install. So I'll just stick with kyb's. rb springs ftw.

I've only had experience with Konis on my FD, that's why I suggested them. I also did racing beat sway bars, which kept the car much flatter. I added the front one first, was amazed at the difference, so I bought the rear next. After that came the Konis. After I settle on an alignment I like (I'm experimenting) I'll go with ground control springs (essentially Eibachs).
