Anyone Missing/Damaged Vin on Dash

Hey,

I've got a question for all the guys that have aluminum dashboards, changed their dash, roll cage through the dash etc...

If you remove the vin that is on your dashboard, say you have an aluminum dashboard etc...
Can you still drive the car on the street.

Keep in mind the vin on the firewall as well as the vin on the door post is intact.

Can you drive a car on the street without a vin?

Does anyone know.

THanks

Anthony

I'm sure as long as you have a custom dash, can prove that your car is the car on the reg., and it's otherwise street legal, you'd be fine.

Most (if not all) states (and maybe the Fed's) reqire the VIN to be visible and permanently mounted (no screws or velcro ;-) )in the front drivers side window - just remount the VIN tag to your new dash w/ a couple pop rivets.
