I'm not sure if I can hang for the F1. I woke up early on Saturday to help a friend with their car and I'm still up. It's about 5:00am PST local time right now and I'll be here to the end. But after that I'm going to pass out and try to get my sleep schedule back on track.

I've watched LeMans off and on throughout the day. Gotta love the Bentley cars but I still find myself rooting for the Audis because they're the "underdog" this year. Corvettes are up to 2nd and 3rd right now but they're pretty much out of contention unless the lead Ferrari has a serious problem.

24hrs of Le Mans was great this year. Unfortuanately no rotary powered cars . I'm quite glad that Team Bentley won this year (really didn't want Audi to win...AGAIN). I'm STOOPID HAPPY that Ferrari won this year in GTS, wish they had both cars finish though...at least he's okay . It would've been nice to finish higher in GT also (Ferrari). Overall, it was a great year...can't wait til next year!

Guess where the motor in the Bentley came from? (in a whisper Audi ) Audi didn't come as a factory team this year, the field was left open for Bentley.

Me too. But Prodrive deserves the credit for developing the car, Ferrari played a small part actually.

And guess where the crew, engineers and drivers came from? Audi. And just as Prodrive ochestrated the rise of the 550M let's not forget Joest's involvement in the development of the VW juggernaut. Factories really don't do the racing.

Downing just drove with H. Katz in LMP675 at Mid Ohio in the Grand Am race this weekend. I don't think Downing will ever give up on the rotary power. Hopefully we'll see him back at LeMans next year.
